Soon after the PMK joined with AIADMK for the 2009 general election, it has got its share of 7 Lok Shaba seats and a Rajiya Sabha seat. This was announced by the AIADMK supremo, J.Jayalalitha at her residence once the seat sharing was finalized in the meeting held with the PMK founder Mr. Ramadoss and other leaders.
The following are the Lok Sabha constituencies in which PMK is contesting,
Sriperumbadhur
Arakkonam
Thiruvannamalai
Chidambaram
Kallakurichi
Theni(Reserved)
Pondy
The other allies of the AIADMK like CPI, CPI(M), MDMK have yet to get their Lok Sabha seats, the seats for PMK was decided in just few rounds of talks between the parties. M/s. Jayalitha also said, the seat sharing for the other allies will be finalized in a couple of days.
